VOICES FROM THE GULAG, HOSPRISON NEWSLETTER, first started publication on February 10, 2000 with Donald W. Plyler, as the Editor. Don devoted many hours to establishing a voice for 6600 inmates at ASH. Eventually, the task of running the publicaiton became too much for Don and Tim McClanahan stepped up to assist in the maintainence of First Amendment for those incarcerated as 6600's. Tim Passed on March 14, 20003. Today, the task is carried on by Tony Innafalo.
This site has attempted to get as many Gulags, both Voices and Echos, online so that the world, as well as friends and families, might hear what the inmates have to say. This site is provided as a community service to those imprisoned at Atascadero State Hospital, who would otherwise not have the resources to publish in this fashion. The content is that of the inmates, the absence of some editions is shortcomming of the webmaster.
